Cynan Jones I've been extremely lucky to have my friend Cynan working with me for Yng Ngheredigion. Cynan is a Ceredigion-born author whose writing conjures the Ceredigion landscape and people as much in its form as its context. Cynan has been an irreplaceable help in suggesting and preparing narratives, offering performance suggestions and being a sounding board offering invaluable contributions in our discussions on Ceredigion.
Cynan's novel The Dig was published last year by Granta Books. It has just won the Wales Book of the Year Fiction Prize for 2015. His previous novels The Long Dry and Everything I Found on the Beach were published by Parthian. He is also author of Bird, Blood, Snow, a retelling of the Welsh Peredur myth, part of Seren’s New Stories from the Mabinogion series.
Pumlumon 70 A band that existed in my imagination for years - dwelling in an isolated cottage on Mynydd Bach, pedwar dwd yn chware, chware ac yn chware (playing, playing and playing) until they've created music hewn from the DNA of thereabouts. I was extremely lucky to find the missing members yn Glasgow...

Stevie Jones I'm very lucky to play with Stevie not only in Pumlumon 70, but in his own band Sound of Yell, the Alasdair Roberts band and The Bravest Boat (with Jer as well). Glasgow has a hugely collaborative music scene and both Stevie and Jer are stalwarts of this, people who really live the ethos of working with others to accomplish something good and interesting rather than for economic reasons. Stevie's multi instrument playing graces many albums that have come out of Glasgow; Arab Strap, Alasdair Roberts, Bill Wells and Aidan Moffat and many more. Most recently he's released the album Broken Spectre as Sound of Yell and is currently writing a second Sound of Yell album. Playing with Stevie it's great to hear someone create exactly the right part time and time again, across musical styles and instruments.
Michael Truswell I've been playing with Mikey for over 10 years. First in the monolithic post rock band G-Plan and latterly in improvising trios. Always subtlety twisting beats and emphasis to shift the rhythmic feel from under your feet, using percussion as another timbre and compositional layer.

Jer Reid Guitar and harmonium moves from Jer in Yng Ngheredigion. Coming from Glasgow, playing in Glasgow and around, with dancers, with improvisers, in Sum Shapes, The Bravest Boat, The Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra, solo and other combinations and activities. Always innovative, thoughtful, giving - someone you want to listen to play and listen to talk. Jer always inspires me musically and in terms of purpose and action.
